RTL Dutch Television is hoping to find an organization, a veteran or a group of soldiers who is/are dealing with postwar stress after returning from Iraq or Afghanistan.
RTL is the largest TV channel in The Netherlands and part of Europe’s biggest television network.
For our European television documentary we would love to talk to recently returned soldiers about the difficulties of coming home after a war: beside the physical scars of the heroes, there are of course many emotional or psychological scars that most non-veterans might tend to forget.
We would like to show how the returning brave American soldiers deal with these problems.
RTL Dutch TV would very much appreciate all the help it can get for this documentary: maybe somebody knows an organization that’s involved in therapeutic sessions? Maybe you can help us find soldiers who are dealing with distress? Soldiers who want to share their experiences, their losses and fear with us? Is there a hospital or a military base that’s specialized in handling these problems?
RTL Dutch Television has a correspondence office in New York: would anybody know how we could do this documentary not too far from home?
